Doris “Toni” Ervin is an Adjunct Professor of Child Development at Hudson County Community College and a Lead Trainer with the Urban League of Hudson County. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in business and Master’s degree in education from New Jersey City University. Toni has taught and consulted at every level of education – primary, secondary, and college.  She was a Candidate for the Jersey City Board of Education 2021 and 2022.

 

Toni is the founder and director of Academic Excellence. Academic Excellence is a non-profit early education and development organization promoting the education, training, and experience of the early care and education workforce to improve professionalism and workforce quality to positively impact children. Through Academic Excellence, she led the National Credentialing Program for Child Development Associate Credentialing program for the Urban League of Hudson County for ten years.  Her parents instilled in her the importance of education, building communities, and the opportunity to be better.

 

Toni brings needed expertise to Education.  Toni’s experience and passion for quality and equitable education are unmatched. Her knowledge is critical in the development of young children and the development of educators.
